Aaron Edwards with Diversity Counseling in Scott

Edwards
Diversity Counseling
I went to Aaron Edwards as I was seeking a therapist familiar with my experiences. He seemed very kind and understanding at first, but that quickly changed. He insisted I had to attend group therapy, which was run like an AA meeting and included a heavy religious influence, when I have both severe social anxiety (which he did not address) and religious trauma (also unaddressed, and worse, dismissed).

Meraki Therapy Services, LLC
I worked with Courtney Miller, LPC, at Meraki Therapy for about a year. In the beginning, I felt supported and found her trauma-informed approach helpful. She had sat with me through a lot of grief and knew how badly abrupt terminations hurt me. Because of that, I believed she understood that being dropped through email—especially while I was speaking up about oppression—would be re-traumatizing.
